FURTHER EXTENSION OF CLUB CLOSURE FROM 2 JUNE 2020 TILL FURTHER ADVICE
With reference to a press conference by the multi-ministry taskforce on 19 May 2020, Singapore will exit the circuit breaker as planned on 1 June 2020, with measures to be progressively lifted in three phases namely Safe-opening, Safe Transition and Safe Nation respectively so that activities can be resumed safely.
- In phase 1 (Safe-opening), priority has been given to critical sectors and businesses that operate in settings with lower transmission risks to reopen. This phase will take at least 4 weeks and Singapore will move into the second phase if community transmission rates remain low and stable.
- In phase 2 (Safe Transition), F&B dine-in will be allowed and gyms and fitness studios will reopen. In addition, all sports, recreation and outdoor facilities will reopen with safe management practices too. This phase will be in place for over a few months as Singapore continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation.
- In phase 3 (Safe Nation), social and business gathering or events will resume, with limited crowd sizes.
In view of the phased approach in transiting the nation out of its period of stringent measures, the Club which does not fall under critical sectors and businesses will need to extend its closure from 2 June 2020 till further advice from the authorities. We hope the situation will further improve and the Club could resume its operations in phase 2 which may take another four weeks from 2 June 2020.
However, we are pleased to share that with the encouraging support and feedback from members on our Man Zhu Café Drive-Thru Service, the Club will continue to enhance the menu with more selections of cuisines and wine for members’ dining enjoyment.
The Club will continue to engage and keep all members updated on the situation via emails, Club website, Facebook and Instagram.
Let’s all do our part to be socially responsible and we will overcome this difficult time together. Stay safe and healthy!
