Chinese Swimming Club was honoured to co-organise the Meet-and-Greet session with the Hungarian Men’s Water Polo Team on 9 July, in partnership with Magyarország Szingapúri Nagykövetsége / Embassy of Hungary in Singapore.
Ahead of the World Aquatics Championships, our water polo trainees and members had the exclusive opportunity to interact with the world-class team — exchanging autographs, snapping photos and even picking up a few insider tips from the pros!
CSC President, Mr Victor Chia, warmly welcomed the team and guests, noting that water polo has long been a proud part of the Club’s sporting legacy. He added that the Hungarian team now stands as a strong source of inspiration for our aspiring athletes.
Adding to the vibrant atmosphere were a powerful opera performance by Mr Levente Molnár and a stunning photo exhibition of notable moments from aquatic sporting events around the world, by Mr István Derencsényi.
A heartfelt thank you to the Hungarian team for their gracious presence and to the Embassy of Hungary in Singapore for making this memorable event possible. May this be the beginning of stronger ties and shared aspirations between our aquatic communities.
We would like to extend a special thanks to Her Excellency Ambassador Judit Pach, Ms Diana Pang, Member of Parliament for Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC, Mr Mark Chay, Secretary General of Singapore National Olympic Council and Prof. Kenneth Goh, President of Singapore Aquatics for their presence.
To top it all off, our members had the thrilling chance to watch the Hungarian team in action during an open training session at the Club pool — a true highlight of the day!
