Global Waves: Wrapping Up Our World Aquatics Championships Activations

Over the past few weeks, Chinese Swimming Club proudly welcomed swimming and water polo teams from around the world as they prepared for the World Aquatics Championships. It was a privilege to host athletes from Belgium, Egypt, Finland, Hungary, Iceland, Kenya, Mexico, Norway and Sweden, each bringing their dedication, energy and passion to our pool deck.

One of the standout moments was the Meet and Greet with the Hungarian Men’s Water Polo Team on 9 July, organised in partnership with the Embassy of Hungary in Singapore. Our water polo trainees had the rare opportunity to interact with the world-class team, exchanging autographs, capturing memorable photos, and even learning a few pro tips. The open training session that followed gave members a thrilling glimpse into high-performance water polo. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Hungarian team and the Embassy for making this event a resounding success. May this mark the start of stronger ties and shared aspirations between our aquatic communities.

Besides the Hungarian men’s water polo team, the women’s team was also training at the club, in preparation for the World Aquatics Championships.

In addition to hosting elite athletes, we also welcomed a series of enriching engagements:

The exclusive meet & greet session saw swimmers from Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden connecting with our young swimmers, creating unforgettable moments and sparking inspiration among our youths.

At the Swimming Coaches Clinic, Coach Johan Wallberg from Sweden and Coach Johan Setterberg from Norway generously shared their knowledge on advanced techniques and race analysis with our coaching team.

A Swimmers Clinic led by Coach Wallberg and fellow Nordic coaches gave 40 of our young swimmers the unique chance to refine their strokes and deepen their understanding of “Feeling the Water”, a core concept in competitive swimming.

These meaningful interactions not only brought the world to our Club but also left a lasting impact on our sporting community. We are deeply honoured to have played a part in the athletes’ final preparations and thank all teams, coaches and partners who made this experience possible.
