Term & Conditions for Corporate (Transferable) Membership

1. We hereby agree to abide by the following terms and conditions and be bound by the Constitution and Bye-Laws of the Club, as may be amended from time to time.
2. The membership fee is subject to the prevailing GST.
3. All Corporate (Transferable) Member and Corporate transferees shall be subject to scrutiny and approval by the Management Committee.
4. The Management Committee of the Chinese Swimming Club has absolute discretion to approve or reject any application for membership and nominee(s) without assigning any reasons. The Management Committee’s decision on any application shall be final.
5. Payment submitted with the membership application and accepted by the Club does not constitute approval of the application. In the event that an application is rejected, all payments submitted shall be refunded to the applicant via bank transfer.
6. The Corporate (Transferable) Member shall be liable for the payment of all subscription fees and monies due on the accounts of the nominee(s) with the Club.
7. The Corporate (Transferable) Member acknowledges and agrees that should payments to the Club default, the Club shall be entitled to suspend one or all nominees’ membership privileges and thereafter terminate the Corporate membership. If no payment is received, the Club reserves the right to seek legal action from the Corporate (Transferable) Member for all outstanding debts owing to the Club even though it may be incurred by the nominee(s) including legal costs incurred in connection thereto, whether before or after the membership is terminated.
8. In the event that a nominee defaults on the membership and/or is subsequently terminated, re-registration of the nominee or their family members under the Corporate Membership, or under any other Membership category, shall not be permitted, even after the settlement of outstanding dues.
9. The Corporate (Transferable) Member shall be responsible for informing the Club in the event of insolvency or closure of the company. In such cases, all memberships granted to the Corporate (Transferable) Member’s nominees shall be automatically terminated. No entrance fees shall be refunded; only the refundable deposit will be returned via bank transfer.
10. The Corporate (Transferable) Member acknowledges that a nominee shall cease to be a member of the Club under any of the following circumstances:
    • resignation or death
    • declared bankruptcy
    • expulsion from the Club
    • conviction in a Court of Law
    • leaving the country to evade criminal proceedings
11. In the event that there are no remaining nominees, the Corporate (Transferable) Member shall have up to three (3) months to register new nominees. Failure to do so will result in the Corporate (Transferable) Membership being deemed terminated.
12. There will be an administrative fee imposed for any change of nominee(s), as determined by the Management Committee.
13. The Corporate (Transferable) Member shall be responsible for the conduct and debts of its nominees and their spouses and children. Any misconduct or breach of a provision in the Constitution or Bye-laws by a nominee or nominee’s spouse or child shall be deemed to be the misconduct of that member.
14. The Disciplinary Panel shall have the power to do all or some or any of the following: terminate any membership and expel a member or corporate nominee from the Club, suspend all or part of his rights and privileges, impose a fine, or reprimand the member, or take other appropriate action or sanction against him for his misconduct.
15. The Corporate (Transferable) Member may transfer its membership to any company registered in Singapore subject to the transfer fee payable as determined by the Management Committee.
16. Nothing herein shall restrict the discretion of the Management Committee to reject the application to transfer a Corporate (Transferable) Membership if the transferee (Corporate Company) is not acceptable to the Management Committee.
17. The particulars of nominee(s) for a Corporate (Transferable) Membership shall be displayed on the Club’s LCD for a period of not less than 2 weeks for the attention of members.
18. Nominees of the Corporate (Transferable) Member are not permitted to use the Club facilities until membership cards are issued to them.
